I'm pretty excited. Today a guy came to evaluate the shelby so dad could insure it for more. The guy said other then a couple few things the car is almost in perfect shape and that when its finished will be worth around 200,000 :pepper: . So say hello to a cobra for me:clap:

95bstallion 04-05-2006 12:51 PM

Grimmz 04-05-2006 12:53 PM

Yes he will be from what i know. The house and all cars are paid off so its just all profit. Just so you know even if he took my car as a trade he would make profit. He got the car for a little bit of nothing. In mostly boxes.

4.6 Love 04-05-2006 12:54 PM

I wouldn't sell that car for nothing...

Grimmz 04-05-2006 12:56 PM

200k thats a downpayment on a house...LoL why sell a cobra, when you can always say you HAVE it...

95bstallion 04-05-2006 12:56 PM

you gotta see it from his point of view if anything happens to it if he drives it. He wont get as much from the insurance as he possibly could from selling it. It's insured for like 70k or something like that. The thing is pretty sweet and i get to drive it to prom:punk:

Red99GT 04-05-2006 01:08 PM

u drive to prom?

95bstallion 04-05-2006 01:16 PM

Red99GT 04-05-2006 01:19 PM

GREG@94GT 04-05-2006 01:29 PM

pretty stupid if ya ask me...

if ya'll sell that car... dont blow the money...

i guess buying a new cobra is pretty cool...

but if you were wise ya'll would invest the remainder... thats a nice chunk of change...

95bstallion 04-05-2006 01:48 PM

We wouldnt blow it all if my parents just spent money they would be in debt. There buying me a cobra when they sell it. My dad just wants another 73 comet gt and my mom wants a 05 mustang sixbanger.

Hmm, my opinion? You arent getting ANYWHERE near 200k for a gt350, but thats just MY esteemed (HAHA) opinion. Cool though, Id keep it, and drive the hell out of it.

Well you can talk to the guy that came and gave the quote so when you own one you can talk:) . There were less of them sold then the 500's because of the 302 being so underpowered. We went out to the big pennsylvania meet a few years back and there wasnt a single 68 350. You make no since also why would you drive the hell out of a collectors car.

Red99GT 04-05-2006 02:18 PM

A cherry GT-350 with 40k ain't worth 200k...maybe half that much if you are lucky. If I were you and you could get 200k for the car, I would sell it and give away a fee trip to Hawaii to the buyer. GT-500's verts might pull that much...in fact I believe there have been some that got more. I saw one with under 10k miles (GT 500 vert) that got 180k.

Truth be known, something is only worth what someone will give you and if you dad can find a buyer willing to part with 200k, the car should be sold.

Regardless, I would keep it even if it were only worth 70k. Why, because it is an excellent investment that will only appreciate further.

Do you guys honestly want the number of the inspector i mean damn. Were not talking cars you see on ebay. No real collector that wants something nice goes on ebay sorry. Like i said the 350's are more rare then the 500's its in the records everywhere. I'm not saying it will go for 200k, but it's probaly somewhere around the 150k area.
