But what you dont understand, is that people dont CARE that there were less 350's made, and dont act like a jackass, Im just telling you, that you wont get 200k for that car. Its funny, you have a shelby, and you have to act like a prick about it already...Id get a second opinion from another inspector.

I could see 200k for a special edition GT350 that was picked up at the dealer, flatbedded to a warehouse, and never driven except 1-2 miles eevery 6 months to get the oil to pump through to keep it lubbed. And professionally detailed once a year and kept under cover with the origional car smell intact....... with a rather large bag of spanish dubloons in the glovebox...

ROFL.

that does seem rediculously high dude. I mean come on, how many cars did you see break 200k on the berret jackson auto auction thing.... a lot of cars alot rarer with all matching numbers in show car condition were being sold there for far less......

Now if it was like, an all numbers-matching perfect-condition with less than 5,000 miles 1969 Boss 429 that had been professional kept and maintained?

well... i could believe that.

a show quality number-matching 69 boss 429 is roughly 150,000. how many boss 429's were made compared to GT350's?

not trying to knock ya dude, that just seems rediculously high.....

Please read my post before my last one it says i dont even think it will go for that. I will get the number for you guys you can talk to the man if you want i dont care. I just love it how their are the few that can say thats cool and all, but most of you have to find a way to rip at it somehow its cool.

madmatt 04-05-2006 03:44 PM

Because you have to be smug about it when we actually call you on it. Try and sell it for that, I really dont care. Congrats for having a nice car. The end.

CAll me one what dude. I'm quoting what the inspector said. Do you no understand me i have no reason to lie to a bunch of run of the mill gt's( this just goes out to the few that decide its cool to rip apart everything). I was just excited what the guy said. I even said earlier that i didnt think it would go for that.

Jack The Ripper 04-05-2006 03:49 PM

here are some production numbers, not sure how accurate.

If there were really only 7 68 Shelby GT350 Coupes made, 200k doesent sound that far off at all.

68 Shelby GT350 Fastback, 302Ci, 250hp, Total = 1,253
68 Shelby GT350 Convertible, 302Ci, 250hp, Total = 404
68 Shelby GT350 Coupe, 302Ci, 440hp, Total = 7

68 Shelby GT500 Fastback, 428ci, 360hp, Total = 1,140
68 Shelby GT500 Convertible 428Ci, 360hp, Total = 402

1969 Boss 429 Fastback, 429Ci, total 852

Tell me you didnt pull those from the interent. I have an official shelby book downstairs and i really dont want to make a big deal of this by any means. I'm sorry for posting anything on here. Ill just stick to my v6 section. Thanks to those who did have something decent to say just close the thread please.

THIS is what I am on your back about. I simply pointed out the fact that I didnt think you were getting 200k for it, to which you responded with THIS. Dont tell ME to not talk until I own one. I dont care. Enjoy your post, and your Shelby.

All i was saying is that you were talking like you inspect cars for a living or something. In my later post even i said it wouldnt get 200k, I mean come on im not stupid. So if you cant take some criticism back then dont post i guess. Just close the thread im serious i dont like argueing with anyone.

Jack The Ripper 04-05-2006 04:07 PM

yeah actually i did pull it off the internet. i dunno how accurate it is, but im saying that if it is one of the 7 coupes made (if that is correct) im saying that the 200k price is NOT unreasonable. Im not sitting here trying to find numbers to put you down or prove you wrong. If there were only 7 coupes made and your dad has one, then 200k is an easy price for one that rare.

ive seen plenty of cars that SAY GT350, but not all of them are. Either way, that sounds like a beautiful car. If ya got a pic im sure we would all enjoy drooling over it. <grin>

double post

04DarkShadowGT 04-05-2006 04:12 PM

Post pics man. If you can get 200K take it, because that is an ass load of cash for an those cars.

I remember 6-8 years ago you could get a numbers matching GT500 KR convertible for 50K at the Kruse Auctions. The price of old muscle cars have went through the roof the last 5 years.

I just dont see the point in spending 200K for an old muscle car. Especially since the ones that bring that cash are in perfect concourse shape and really cant be drive for fear of chips or damage.

I posted along while back some pics. I have to be honest its not worth posting pics i have already been ripped to begin with. As far as I'm concerned this thread is done. O and by the way it doesnt get driven it hasnt seen very many miles at all in the last 10 years probaly less then 100.

Not really angry just a bit dissapointed that one time you cant post up something and not have someone rip it to shreds i never ever once said we were gonna sell it for that price. The only thing i said is that the guy said with a few things worked on it would be a car in the 200k price range. Then i went on to say its to much of a liability to have so we plan on getting rid of it soon. Theres really only one person who ruined the forum. Even springs had somethign + to say( me and him are rice bro's though:shifty: )

Thats how it is here. We have the biggest prom setup in united states labeled the worlds best prom. The roads are blocked off for the path of the prom kids and they all drive slow. People always bring CRAZY shiit to prom. Off the top of my head people have brought elephants, army tanks, scooters, ferarris, lamborghinis, milk trucks, fire engines, semi trucks, tool trucks, 4 wheelers, monster trucks, old muscle cars galore, its all weird or crazy stuff to top everyone off. Its all televised and at the end by lake michigan we have a mile stretch where they finish off the ride to a banquet hall. All the people who are cool get drunk down by the lake and wait for all the highschools to come down. We grab buckets of water and stop cars for a burnout pit and by the end of the night, the entire mile of road strip is paved black from tires. Its awesome!!!
