Default You get no respect when you drive the beater...

When i drove my car to the body shop last week, everyone gave me the right of way, the thumbs up and some stares. I went back home the same exact route and i got cut off and flipped the bird for going to slow.

Do you notice a big differnce when you drive the beater or someone elses car?

Its just funny how the type of car you drive can command so much respect.

Yes it does. One day i pull up to a gas station at the same time another car does. He just let me have it and waited.

I only usually get thumbs up from other Mustang drivers, and I don't know about you guys but people or more of a dick to me when I drive the Mustang then when I drive the Outlander or Lancer.

Maybe I just think they're being dicks, no they're deffinately dicks.

People often give the old thumbs up and right of way in the stang. Some times people want to mess around. In my wifes car people often leave me alone.

well i have been talked to at a stop light by a 50 year old guy in a look alike cop car with his 2 daughters in the back...said nice car...then told his daughters their car is the one that usually pull mine over...wierd experience but i get respect even though its a sixer

but then i drive TWebb023's Black 01 GT...i feel more people stare because its louder and i tend to floor it when i drive it...

faster the car more respect around here...or better lookin more respect

i get people starin a lot. not cuz they see but cuz they hear it coming (pedestrians). it rumbles pretty nice for a sixer. i also get a lot of tards wanting to race me, like some dip in an 80's camaro, which i blasted off the line. there was also this tard in a beat-to-**** integra, who kept trying to race me down the highway. i was ignoring his messed up ***, but he kept pulling up along side and revving his fart can. so, i smoked his bitch a$$ at the next light.

I dunno, I dont get much special treatment in the mustang. I dunno, I always let people out when they are in nice cars though, so I guess its true.

hahaha...i think i have all u guys beat. my beater is a 92 civic mint green. this thing has dents all over, no passenger side mirror, machete hacks all over cause we got a lil crazy one night, no interior lights cause we got more crazy, no sun visors, airbag hanging out, bumper sticker over the entire car, baseball dents cause we gunned baseballs at it one day (real fun), and to top it off, 20 inch daytons....kidding, like 12 inch rusted crap rims...haha...so, lets just say i get way more stares when im in the green machine.

on another note...do u guys know how much it would cost me to pay a shop to instal gears??

thanks, steve

I drive an 87 dodge ramcharger. people usually get out of the way because if they hit me or I hit them, their car is totaled and ill just keep on moving. its covered in mud right now so people drive far behind so im not spraying dirt chunks up at em.

Mustang usually got the thumbs up or some riceboy will talk ****. they get eaten alive then try to be cool about it so i keep talkin **** right back. thats pretty funny. some kid in some turbo eclipse tried talking **** so i called him all the names in the book and ate his *** alive. he had the excuses and i kept at the name calling and he got mad and drove away. stuff like that usually happens, if they arent saying "nice car", "sounds great" "is it fast?" or all that kind of stuff.

the only thing my mustang gets me is tickets, I get pulled over all the time for stupid **** or they try to tell me that someone called and said I was racing I just got pulled over about an hour ago for having a license plate light out, but he was cool and didn't give me a ticket

When I had my 94 Full Size Blazer Sport (they started calling them Tahoes in 95) with the cowl hood, 4" Flows, and sitting on 36's people tended to stay the hell out of my way when I pulled out or merged!

The Iroc is my dd, everyone wants to race it for some reason, maybe cuz they know they can beat it (sometimes). I work nights so I am usually half asleep and the car basically drives itself to work so I usually don't take the bait. When I drive the mustang, I never even see anyone, just old people. If I do see another stang, its always some old lady driving a sixer.
