Default Hey all, a couple questions about the SCT XCalibrator 2 for you.

Hey, I'm putting together my order for parts from Mustang Tuning, and one of the things I want to get is the SCT XCalibrator 2, but I have a couple questions about it. It asks you to provide certain information to MT when ordering:

Year and Model of your car: Self Explanatory
Computer code: I understand what is meant, but where would I find it, on a '05 GT?
Premium or Regular Gas: Self Explanatory
Rear and Transmission: Transmission is Self Explanatory, but what info are they actually looking for from "Rear"?
Stock or Modified: It's stock now, but I'm ordering other parts along with the Tuner so it won't be stock anymore when it's delivered, so how do I properly answer this? List what will be done to my car after I've gotten the Tuner?
Stock/H/X-Pipe Catalytic Converters or Not: Kind of the same as above. I'm ordering a X-Pipe along with the Tuner, so what's the proper answer?
Mufflers or Straight-through/Glasspack Style Exhaust: Again, same thing. I'm ordering Exhaust along with Tuner.
List of all modifications: These will be the first mods done to the car, so do I list what will be done, or list it as stock, as that is the way the car is at the time of ordering?

Some other questions: It says you can add additional tunes. Would having a tune for my car as bone stock count as an additional tune?

Here's the options and functions it says can be configured using the Tuner:

Giving myself a 3 on a scale of 1 - 10 (1=Don't know difference between Automatic and Stick - 10=You think Mr. Goodwrench doesn't know **** about cars.) what are some of the "User Adjustable Options" I should completely stay away from?

As always, thanks to everyone for whatever input you give.

The only one I can answer is that you would want to list all of things that you are DOING to your car, as in all the parts you're ordering. Obviously you'll install all the parts on your car then flash your car with the XCal2 tune. Also, the Xcal2 comes with a stock tune, so including that, there is actually 4 tunes.

Answer with what will be on the car when the tuner is used. You can adjust the tune after you add mods to bring everything back to 0 so to speak.

If you don't know what you're doing don't tune your own car. Jeebus tiddy farckn keyrist people! If you don't know what you're doing, then pay someone that does it for a living to do it for you. You'll at least have a place to go if it isn't right and you probably won't end up with a blown motor.

From rear, they're looking for changes to stock ratio. Just say, stock 05' GT. For stock or modified, say modified. X pipe, magna-doodle axle back, CAI, TB, big gay pride sticker, etc... what ever you're going to have on the car when you tune the car for the mods is what you're listing.

You should be able to find the computer code either on a sticker on the passenger side door jamb or on the computer itself under the passenger side kick panel under the dash (immediately right of where the passengers right ankle is normally located unless they're giving you a hummer in which case I've always found it best to remove the passenger seat entirely)

Thats a negatory on where that code is located.

The code is in the engine bay. It's on a silver box, mounted vertically. Should be three letters and a number (aka CDC3)
