Get a heat gun and heat up the glue, and spray it with window cleaner while hot, and use a new razor blade to get under it.

you had to remove the back tint too??? that sux. in texas you can have your back and rear side windows painted if you want to. just the front doors is all they care about. but try heat gun and adhesive remover. thats what my tint guy uses.

What about ammonia? You can't use ammonia based cleaners on tint but I don't know if it eats up the film or the glue?

You have to be carefull using those strong cleaners on your windows. They can stain them. Personally, I wouldnt use anything more than what a razor blade, heat gun, and window cleaner or like goo gone or something.
