Crank pulley problems. need help :(
My crank shaft pulley is making a nasty noise, my mechanic said it needs to be changed but I would also have to change the part that goes inside which allows the pulley to spin??
so if i switch out to the aftermarket underdrive pulleys would it fix my problem?

Your mechanic is a retard. There is no "part inside" a balancer that allows it to spin. It's keyed onto the damned crankshaft so they're always in lockstep, literally.
Go to Kragen, buy a new balancer. install it. Come back. Say thank you r3d you're so smart.
And yes, underdrives would fix your issue. I'm assuming you have a GT.
BTW... exactly what kind of a nasty noise? If it's coming from your balancer STOP DRIVING IT.

the noise its very loud and squeeeeeeeeeeky comming from the crack pulley
we took the belt off and turned the car on for about 10 sec. and thats the only pulley turning and thats where the noise came from. how bad can it be driving like that?
