Default HID in Smoked Headlights

Has anyone done this? had a friend telling me i should get the HID kit but I'm going to be buying the Smoked headlights for my 02GT hear soon..

Will they work? Will the smoked headlights make having the HIDs a waste? just not sure. and wanting some input.

I did it. You can see the difference in the purity of light for sure.
I don't think it would be a waste.

the smoked headlights don't block the light output. I have the HID's and my headlights came smoked stock and there's a huge difference in lighting

the clear cornered smoked headlights acutally have a hint of tint in the lenses.

to the op:

get the hid's. they will fit any 99-04 housing. reguardless of clear or smoked head lights.

the only wya i can see poeple wasting money on hid's is if they only drive the car during nice days during the day time. lol.

HID's will provide better light period. you want teh 6000k kit cause that provides the most light and it is the whitest i believe.

The 4300k puts out the brightest whitest light.

No 3200 or 3k flat does yellow, 4300 is pure white no blue at all. 5k is very white with touch of blue, 6k is blueish, 8k is just blue.
