Well when I installed a pair on a friends car we had pulled the old single port v6 (94-98 motor) out and added the long tubes to the new 00 v6 split port motor and we installed the headers with the tranny, motor, everything on it. It wasnt hard and I dont see it being to tuff to get them out with the motor in the car if you just jack the engine up a bit. We didnt use the EGR as the new motor didnt come with it so we capped off the EGR port with a pipe cap and some JB Weld. Overall nice product and added some good power to that motor.

if you were to replace the headers I would go with the LT's. It's not worth it to replace the headers with shorty's
