Default quiet performance muffler?

I had magnaflow ugh hated the drone changed them out for dynomax super turbo loved the quiet performance but they burnt out not so quiet any more without the fiber glass:P
Whats a good flowing muffler without the attention getter noise.
Im fine if its loud when i step on it but highway driving HMMMMMMMMMMMMM drone sucks! I know i can downgrade my gear but i like my 3.73.

Awesome awesome awesome this is what i was looking for something like this! Thank you!
Borla xs or hooker maxflow...Borla with the million mile warranty id imagine doesnt have glass packing to burn out does it? If so i will go with borla. Im pretty sure dynomax super turbos are quieter but they arnt listed and do burn out.

Seriously? Did you have the magnapacks or just regular magnaflow mufflers? I run the regular magnaflows because they growl at wot but are quiet and do not drone at highway speeds.

In the list above magnaflow is #3 for loudness. 1-2 dbs are not going to make much difference.

I read once where al papito said that the stock cobra catback made as much power on his car as an aftermarket catback did, if that helps any.

BTW, Ive seen a lot of mustangs riding around with no mufflers and not only were they not nearly as loud at WOT but didnt sound good at all. Kinda odd they said it was the loudest. However, this was on five oh's

If you had the canister style they were probably the packs. Those are going to be louder than the regular magnaflows. I'd suggest getting the regular magnaflows...like I said before I run the regular flows mainly because of the quietness when not at wot.

FYI here is a pick of the louder magnapacks:

And here is one of the regular magnaflows:

Its a straight throw design so there is no flow restriciton. Do you want a dirty ***** or a church girl. Sound level inside the cab is directed related to outside noise. You have to compromise and I choose to have a quieter cab so I can hear the radio, phone conversations plus my hearing. There is no exhaust thats going to be super loud outside with no drone and quiet inside. You have to pick and choose whats important to you. Whats the point of having a loud slow car. Id rather hearing the whistling of my SC.

I have the same setup and prefer it, its there when you hit the gas and turn heads if need be, but not all the time. I needed something not so def. since my g/f kids mostly sit in the back and gawd forbid if they cant hear the radio and sing along out of synch at the same time...to me I sooner drive with no radio and listen to the wonderful sound of the car myself!

Borla will be a deeper exhaust sound, had them on a 03 Mach1 and it sounded wicked!

The Max-Flows have packing. Just go to Hooker's site and click on their Max-Flow muffler and on the cut away, you see the case, packing, and the perforated tube in the middle. The Areo-Chambers though are just chambered.

Cant i have a dirty ***** in the bed room and a church girl outside?:P

yah i want quieter i like the silent killer better. At the track my quiet car destroying some trailer queen with dumped exhaust is great. Its just not quiet enough on the highway!
