So either my car has a lot of torque or I'm just getting really fat... Either way, I seemed to have broken part of my drivers seat in my car.. Any suggestions on how to fix or what aftermarket seats to buy that won't cost a fortune?

That is true, but I haven't seen any that I really like. I mean if I get momo or sparco I'm gonna pay out the butt for them, and I just don't know about some of the generic brands.. As far as quality and dependability.

You'll have to call them about seats, but they should have them.

avoid corbeau forza and forza II. They're the single most uncomfortable seat on the market.

so what are some decent seats then? At about 800 for the pair w/mounting brackets and everything. Does the seatbelt/chest strap come with seats? or is that an extra thing?

You normally have to pay extra for the harnesses, and good seats will run anywhere from $600-$900 per seat. That's why I was wondering if there are any well constructed off brand seats that are not outrageously expensive, and are comfortable?

your seat choice is dictated by the use case. Drag seats are different than corner carving, etc...
Corbeau makes good seats as long as you stay off the forza line. Anything from Cobra, Recaro, or Sparco is usually nice. I have a thing for Kirkey aluminum race seats but they're totally not street friendly. Stay with 3" belts for harnesses. Smaller straps are painful in a wreck. I like RJS harnesses but many others make good stuff. |

I dont like the look of racing seats. IMO, i'd go with stock seat, or the Mach1 type.

I'm more of a long distance driver, but I have a good motor, tranny, and suspension set up, so I like the cornering if I come to it. I wanted to try to find some leather roush seats, but I'm not finding them, and roush is only selling the 05+ seats right now... And since I have a roush, I don't really want to get stock pony seats unless I absolutely have to. I guess I'm in a predicament to say the least...

just go with one of the brands that r3d listed. you can always take them out of the car and keep them with the new car(that is if you ever sell the stang) and put your stock seats back in.

That is true, I guess I just need to bite the bullet buy the seats, and quit worrying about it..

CCM is another member here. Those are Corbeau Legacys seats. They are expensive especially leather runs about a grad combined I believe for driver and passenger seats.

A grand for a set of racing seats is pretty reasonable I think, considering some brands charge $600-800 for one damn seat...
