Default Squealing from inside bellhousing

Some of you may know my woes recently with my motor as I have a couple other threads troubleshooting my problems. I have the motor back in and it runs good, no noises or anything like before so I got that fixed. It ran for like 45 minutes with only the bellhousing on it and had no issues.

I got the tranny back on Friday and got everything ready to go, fired her up, and it ran for like maybe 15 minutes, no issues. As soon as I went into reverse to back out of the driveway, I heard a load squealing sound, which seemed to be coming from the tranny. I could rev and hold the motor at maybe 2000 or so, and as I let off the throttle and it settled down, the noise would briefly go away, but would come back.

Got the car back up on the jackstands today and got under it to listen and it definitely seems to be coming from inside the bellhousing. I disconnected the clutch cable and pull the clutch fork back away from the PP. The noise was still there, so it is not the TOB. The noise did not change when I would press the clutch pedal or when the tranny was in gear and the car moving. The noise would increase with the engine speed.

Any ideas on what it could be? It's just a constant squeal. There is plenty of fluid in the tranny and the car shifts fine between gears and I could obviously move the car, although I didn't take it down the road or anything, just moved it back and forth in the driveway. I guess the tranny has to come down AGAIN.

On a side note, I know the car can be cranked with just the flywheel attached, but can it be run with the clutch and PP attached to the flywheel without the tranny itself, just the bellhousing? I mean the PP should be holding the clutch disk tight, but I just wasn't sure of the repercussions since the input shaft goes through the clutch disk.

Have you checked the pilot bearing?

Just got everything torn down and the pilot bearing seems fine. I can spin that inner part easily and there are no broken pieces in there or anything.

The one thing so far that I have found that makes me wonder is that the little slinger ring that goes around the end of the crank outside of the rear main seal was loose. I find that if I put it on so that it is flush with the end of the crank, it is tight and would spin with the crank. When I tap it on much further than that, it will pop on and be loose to where I could tap the top and the bottom would extend outward and vice versa, like a teeter totter. Maybe it worked itself crooked and wedged itself tight with the seal housing and the crank/flywheel would be turning, draggin on that ring.

Anyone seen anything like this or even understand what I am describing? Everything clutch/PP/flywheel related seems to be ok. There is not a lot of play in the input shaft (a little but not a lot) so I don't think the problem is there.
