its a lower grade version of ceramic coating. 03mustanggt has the HTS coated headers from mac.

as for the no converts, dont worry about it. were all the same platform and they can be used. i believe that they are concerned that converts are heavier thus sitting lower. but there are people around that have a 2.5"+ drop that run longtubes.

yes long tubes come in pairs and those will work with your car. If you have a mid pipe to match it along with a catback to macth that.

The HTS isnt bad, but if I could do it all over again Id go with the ceramac coating.

Thats a crappy plan, because the long tubes are going to need a shorty mid pipe like the one MAC sells and then any GT catback will go onto that. So dont waste your money on a custom set of true duals if you really are gonna do long tube headers.

If it were me, I would just throw on a mid-pipe and then a GT cat back. I am nit sure I see the point of LT's on a GT much less a 6'er. Lots of work and extra money for little to no return. But, I could be worng. I dont know much about the 6 er's.

i thought lt's on a gt was a good idea, especially for blower plans

LT's on a GT is good whether its NA or power adder. From LT's and mid pipe youll gain 20rwhp. I think LT prices are crazy. I dont see why more people dont buy Mac. Cheap LT's that perform and have the good ceramac coating. You dont need this fancy $800 stuff.

Well, you know what they say about opinions....

Anyway, LT's are pricey and a pain to install. If you have to pay a shop, you are looking at a minumum of $1000 total.....for 20 hp, that is kinda steep.

Obviously, for a seriously fast car, you need headers. If the guys is planning a building a racer, then headers are an important building block.

I agree with you Blake. However, for someone that can install them themselves, and not go all out with Bassni, SLP, etc. then its a good amount of power for the money.

Look at VT stage 2 cams.

No, I mean they are very expensive for only about 20rwhp if you cant install them yourself.

Well, I installed BBK Long Tubes on my GT and yes, it was a pain. I will never know how much I gained cause they are coming off and getting sold. They sounded great and gave a big SOTP increase and I would do them again if I was looking for every bit of powa out of my car.

I NEVER heard of $1000 for an LT install , Sure I got quotes for every bit of $600- $700 but I called all the big name shops here in Tx and that was about the most expensive. Yes, that is alot to drop on NEW LTs AND getting them installed, but if you take your time, look around and find some good condition used ones WITH a matching mid-pipe (which your going to need) then you can come out on top. I spent $500 on my used BBK LTs, matching mid-pipe AND install. Some people will spend just that on the LTs.
