Default Nitrous Won;t Work Right!!!!!!!!

I have an 89 GT 302 HO Mustang that I am having a mechanic friend of mine put a Zex Dry Nitrous kit on my car. It is a full throttle kit that only activates at full throttle when the arming switch is on. The solenoids are contained in the NMU(Nitrous Management Unit) which wires into theTPS. My problem is that on the NMU there is a black button that you push and hold until the light flashes and then you hold the throttle pedal all the way to the floor. this tellls the NMU the current of your TPS at full throttle. The light on the NMU will turn green. It works fine up to this point!!! The directions then say to turn off the arming switch and get back in the driver's seat and work the throttle pedal 3 or 4 times. Each time you do this you should be able to hear the solenoid in the NMU click, but it does not and the green light on the NMU turns back to red!! Does anyone have any idea of what it causing this problem and how to fix it!!!!!! Thank for any help you can give!!!!!!!!!!!!1
