I've added 1" spacers for that exact same reason and I couldn't be happier.

I have H&R 25mm rear spacers on my car...
with my 17x9 and 275/40's they rub a tiny bit if I hit a dip too hard or on a sharply angled driveway...but it looks good ![]()

I have 1" spacers on the back only on my 97 Cobra. They are a major improvment over that pigion toed look. Looks good from the side, but to me it kind of made the tires look too skinny in the back. I definatly need to get 10.5" rims. Anyway, the 1" spacers work great til I can afford rims/tires.
