I am looking to upgrade my current wheel/tire combo for my '95 cobra from the stock 17 x 8 - 255/45/17 to either chrome Cobra 2000R (Y2K) 18 x 9 or chrome '03 Cobra rims 18 x 9. The tires will be either 285/30/18 or 265/35/18. Any thoughts on which will look better? Also which tire will fit better and/or can anyone recommend a different tire size?

Depends on what you like. Do you like the oversized tire look which bubbles out? You can put a 295 35 18 on that rim the 98 Roush stang had this. Look at this http://www.mustangtuningforums.com/showthread.php?t=238

Your rims/tires look very good. Is that the tire size you have for all four? or are the fronts smaller than rears?

295 35 18 rear, 245 40 18 front. The rear rim is 18x9 and front 18x8, you can go wider in the front not sure how much as I havnt looked into it.

I have a connection for tires. My only other concern is, are replica wheels (rims) quality or should I spend a whole lot extra for originals (O.E.M)? there is a large difference in price between originals and the replicas found on ebay.

In the long run originals have a better resale value.

Im saving for the black Bullitt's 17x8 in front and the 17x10.5's in the rear. Cant decide on 295 or 315's tho.

what series would be better for the 10.5" wide rim. 315 40 or 315 35. im contmeplating on selling my 18's for 17's. i think my car would look better with a wider rim than a taller rim.
