I was just wondering what gear ratio is in a 97 Cobra... isn't it 3.55's?

Can anyone tell me what the stock gears are in a 2002 GT?
I think they might me low 3's. I'm thinking about putting in a set of 4.10, and would like to know if I'll wet myself when I drop the hammer on it !!

Yeah, some of the older stangs came with 2.73's, usually convertibles but i've heard of coupes having them, but 99 and up definitely had 3.27's.

Thanks for clearing this up, I was going to put in a set of 3.73's, but now I think I'll be happier with the 4.10's !

I am rather sure only the V6's had 2.73's... for economy purposes. My old v6 would do 55 on the highway at 1k rpms... but couldnt accelerate if it tried in fifth.
