Hey all you mustang junkies!
I'm new to the form so be patient with me, havent learned all the rules yet.
I'm the proud owner of a 2003 rag cobra, I was thinking of purchasing a slp loud mouth cat back system. I was wondering if this a straight bolt on system, will I have to relocate the oxygen sensors and if so does the system come with the extra lines, will the system cause the car to run lean, therefore making the check engine light come on. Also, are there any slp owners out there and do they enjoy their exhaust? Thanks for being patient fellows and keep on stanging!

SLP might be a tad loud for you convertible. If you are just talking cat-back exhauts its a straight bolt on. No need to mess with O2 sensors or anything else. And no it wont turn on your CEL light.

If you are talking about a mid pipe (X-pipe or H-pipe) then you will need to get some 02 extentions for a 2004 model only. If you are going with a version w/o catalytic convertors then you will need MIL eliminators unless you have a programmer or chip to shut off the rear 02s.

But as for SLP some love it and some hate it. SLP catback with an a midpipe is EXTREMELY loud. With a very it might be too loud. Up to you though.

Could you recommend a good cat back system for 2003 cobra. Good sound, deep, not to expensive.

It is really personal. I have the SLP catback and the catted X-Pipe on my Vert and enjoy it a lot. I enjoy listening to the exhaust more than the radio.

If you go with just the SLP catback on your vert, I think you will like it.

If you can, try to listen to combos on cars.
