I Want More Power HOW???!!!?!?!?!?
I have a 1995 v6 Stang, I want to get around 300-400 HP out of it. i have 4000-5000 to spend I have thought about getting a crate engine, and a 5 speed tranny. What are your guys thoughts on what would be the least expensive but most cost effective to get what I want out of this car. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can do it with the V6 but it will be a beast and probably best on the track. you can Check out http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/
or
i've seen 03-04 cobra motors on ebay, for not to bad of a price. Or get a new 2001 cobra motor and put a SC on it.

Swapping to an 8 isn't economically viable guys.
I say forged 4.2 and a nice single turbo system. Or twin turbo's if you really want to splurge but you shouldn't NEED that. Key word their being need. Depends a lot on where you want to make your power too.
Oh a forged 4.2 and some nitrous will get it done too. Have fun.

U want more power, then just throw a simple vortech supercharger on there with exhaust and be done with it! Screw a V8 swap, cause in the end its still a base mustang with a V8 in it. Plus, you can make more power than a stock GT with a $4K blower kit. Supercharged sixers run 13s in the 1/4 with a good driver.

True. But hey if your going with a new engine why not drop in some forged rods and pistons before you drop it in.

You could start out with a Stage 3 from Super Six Motorsports. That is a setup for a blower or nitrous. That includes new upper and lower intakes, heads, and cam. For around 2k. prob use the rest on install(unless you do it yourself) and a tune. Then if you have some more money by then go ahead and get the SC.

Sry not to jack the thread, but i'll ask this cuz i'm sure other people wana know also,
If I buy the Chip from Justin for 270 or how ever much it is...do I already need to have a tunner, and how hard is it to install? And about how much HP do you think he could make? I want a fuel saver tune, and a race tune, both with 87 octane nothing higher, maybe later when i get more stuff done i'll do higher octanes, but if I bought that chip would it be plug and play? or does he need to install it down in FL?

You guys are forgetting something about swaping over to a v8 from a 6banger. You have to do the suspension as well. I guess you could just find some stock ones that someone took off there car. I would have to say turbo is the best way to go with the 6 though. Good luck on whatever you decide.

Very true not to mention the wiring hrness and a few other "little" things people seem to forget.
