Default Installed a Steeda Tri-ax

Yeah, I bought a used steeda triax on modular depot. I like my stock shifter alot better. It just doesnt feel right and now I remember why I havent sprung for one since ive owned the car. Im going to leave it on for about a week and if my opinion is the same, ill put it up for sale. I had the steeda shifter bushing on my stock shifter and it was perfect. I had no play and slack in the shifter and Im SUPER quick with shifting that.

give it a few days you will see whats up. Did you put the handle all the way down that gives the shorties and best shifts. i like mine but took me a good 5 days to think so cause i wasnt used to it..

I bought mine used, thats the only reason I went with it. And yeah its on the shortest. Im thinking I like it a little better. An 05 mineral grey GT tried toying with me untill i let them pipes start rumblin and he backed off. i was waiting to deliver an asswhoopin. I love the sounds of my car along a solid wall of brick buildings for one block. it echos and just sounds so sweet but that has nothing to do with my new triax!

lol no it doesnt. But like i said give it a few days they are weird to you cause your used to the stock long *** shifts. You will love it soon enough. I took mine to the track 2 days after putting it on and it was sooo much better. I can powershift alot better with this then with the stock one.

yea either something is wrong with ur shifter or your crazy- the tri-ax is bad *** i loved from the first moment - it takes a while to get used to - but its alot firmer than stock and the throw is really short - adjust your bump stops properly - but I love my used tri-ax i got for 80 bucks delivered

I had one for 2 years and missed more shifts with it than Ive ever missed with my stock shifter. I didnt like mine to be honest and it was a welcome change when I went back to stock. Id have to drive an MGW to decide on it, but right now, I love my stocker.

I have a tri-ax on my 99, wife likes it, I don't. I had a Roush on my 04, before the T56 swap. Loved it! Now I have stock lower with the Roush handle and bushings. Fit is great the shifts need to be a little shorter so I'm looking for a new one for it, but will reuse the Rouse handle.
