Ok, not really sure if I am in the right forum. (maybe this belongs in the new products section) But, the new Lemans style stripes that you guys sell, do they work the same way as the bumper inserts? Like, get em wet and then just position them? or is there a special chemical that goes with them. Also, does the same installation proceudre work for the side rocker stripes? I would like to purchase the White Lemans stripes, the white rocker stripes and the bumper inserts. Just wanted to know if they all had about the same procedures to put them on
thanks |

I highly highly recommend taking the LeMans & Rocker stripes kits to a body shop to have them installed. Unless you are an EXTREMELY patient person that would not get pissed at having to pay to buy another set if you misaligned them. Even so, unless you are an experienced body professional, IMHO taking them to a body shop will save you a humongous PITA headache, and the results will be sooo much better!
They are both great products that really ad to your car, but I would view them along the lines of buying a hood, or other unpainted body panel...you just have to factor in having a body shop do the work. That said, the procedure would be similar to any other decal applied to your car, but on a much larger scale. A mild soapy water solution misted ever so slightly should allow you some leeway to correct error, and then you can squeegee it & any bubbles out.
