Default white stripe kit opinion needed

Ok, I have a 2001 v6 vert and its the performance red paint. I saw that American Muscle just started selling Lemans stripe kits in black, silver, and white. If I go with a stripe kit, I will also, purchase new bumper cutouts and the rocker stripes. If I was going to pick a color which one would be the best one? I am thinking about getting the white set-up

I will try to post a picture up but I am still learning how to lol

I am pretty sure that this is a link to my pony. Its a fairly old picture and since then, I've painted the calipers and added a shorty antenna I hope this link works

I saw those too....I have a torch red '04 sixer vert myself...they look good, but personally.....I'm still gonna go with the 8 or 10" rally stripes.....I still think they look better on the '04 body styles...(well, ok, they look better on the '05 and up style too *LOL*)

sorry, I forgot to mention. American Muscle says that the kit is just a 19' roll of white striping that is 12 inches in diameter. I was looking at different cars with striping and I think I will cut the striping to either the 8" or 10" stripe sizes instead of the full 12". Also, I think I will use some of it to do a pinstripe along with the main stripe on the car. I just wanted to know what you guys thought of red with white stripes. I think I might go ahead and do it. Thanks alot!

It should look good with white stripes. But personally, I think black and red is a hard to beat combo on a mustang.

that is pretty pricey.

Rallystripes.com you can get the whole set with pin striping for a lot less.

i dont know about the quality AM sells, RALLYSTRIPES.COM sells pretty good stripe kits. and 19 feet? lol..... i used the 15 ft stripe kit for my 04GT and had a ton left over.

I would be very hesitant to go any wider than 8 inches. 8 inches with a 1-1.5 inch gap fits real well, if you go 10 or 12 inch yer probably gonna have trouble around the licence plate and especially around the front bumper. Those bumper pillars swoop up and are hard enough to do with 8 inch stripes, let alone 10 or 12 inch.

yea I was torn between black and white because my bumper inserts are already black but I've heard mostly white. I've got a giant roll of white paper and when it stops raining, I'm going to cut the paper to the right length and width and just see what it will look like. But yea HokieStang00 I am torn between the white or the black

well, price is not really a concern for me but I think I will end up cutting them down to about 8 inches anyway. Also, should I stop the stripes around the hood scoop or just go over it. I've seen it both ways and it looks easier to simply remove the scoop lay down the stripes and just put the scoop back in place. What do you think?

Why would buy them 12" and cut them down to 8", when you can simply 8"?? Would be guarenteed to have straight strips...

Well if thats the case, i would personally spend the gift card on something else and purchase the 8" stripe kit with your own cash. I wouldn't take the chance of cutting the 12" stripes.

Yeah white stripes on red looks pretty sweet:

Really depends what your future plans are. If you plan on getting anymore black, such as rims, definatly go with black. But if you plan to keep stock rims or go with chrome, then definatly go white.

then TRUST me save yerself a bunch of money and buy em from Rallystripes.com.

i know it sounds like trimming off 4 inches will be a piece of cake but it will really be a major pain in the ass.

I think I will look into purchasing them from RAllystripes.com. I hope to have it done soon because the weather around where I live is getting nicer and I really love driving it with the top down lol I'll have some pictures up as soon as I do it! Thank you guys so much for all your opinions and help. I am glad to know that there is a group of people out there that can really help me out

Yeah black stripes on white stangs just don't look right in my opinion. Ive always liked the look of either red or blue stripes on white. There pretty bold though.
