ok theirs this kid that lives by me who has a 94 gt 5.0 an he wants to take the exhaust off an run only headers which is stupid an illegal now i was liek ull loose power an he was like lol u dont loose power an i told him that you would prolly need some back pressure .

please tell me about just runnin headers am i right or am i wrong bout it?

im pretty sure with the stock valvetrain he's gonna need some kind of backpressure, not to mention the thing will sound like complete ass.

You should tell him, to save weight over the front end, to remove the manifolds from the engine. The extra air flow under the hood will also create more power!!
And then tell him to get dual tubonators as well!

deet dee dee!!!!! you should also really encourage him to keep powershifting that trans ( does wonders for that extra long input shaft) also pull some real nice holeshots! rev the motor to say 4500 plus then dump the clutch!!!:bash:

You should tell that kid that it will add like 50+HP because if the air comes out faster than that relieves stress on the engine which in turn adds HP. Tell him if he doesn't put the spark plugs on 4 of his 8 cylinders that it ups his gas mileage because you are now down to a 4 cylinder engine.

You should probably tell him that 1200 degree exhaust gasses in the form of JETS OF FIRE shoot out of the headers and if he doesn't run at least a mid pipe he'll be crying over the burning carcass of what used to be a 94GT.

Then tell him to bash himself in the head with a tack hammer because he is a MORON that can't see a nickel's worth of good and free advice when it's being handed to him.

Even just running a mid pipe without a cat back is ticket-worthy loud in any jurisdiction. He'll find himself in a world of fines if he runs like that. Not to mention that he puts everyone else at risk when he sets himself up for a car fire by being willfully ignorant.
