Is it possible to bore your engine at your home shop and what tools do you need to do it?

Jesus, lol.

Mustang13, anything's POSSIBLE with the right tools & equipment, but you have to have some pretty heavy duty machinery to do it. You'd spend 20 times as much on equipment to do it than you would paying to have it done. I'm talking AT LEAST $10,000

Anywhere from $3600 up to over $5500 for an ASSEMBLED big bore short block from VT.

www.vtengines.com

I'm sure they can do just labor on the block, but you'd want to contact them.

or you could look in the phone book find a meachine shop ask if they do that and get a quote.

i wouldnt bother trying to go get a big name shop to do it when a small mom and pop could do it for less.
