95 GT Auto. Speed
Im in college and have a 95 Gt wit an auto...(dumb idea my dad talked me into it and said i would hate driving a 5 spd...he was wrong) I was wondering what gears my car has in it and wat size gears i could put in it and not anything to ridiculous. I also was wondering about the SCT chip for my car and wondered how much power that added and if its worth it.

I would get 4.10's an auto car has such a low 1st gear the 4.10's really help it get up and go. You will get better mileage in town and only slightly less on the highway.
Also a tune isnt really needed untill you do some mods. I dont know how serius you are about all of this but you can just change the VSS (vehical speed sensor) in the transmission very cheap to do. This will fix the speedo and let the car know the correct MPH and will thus let it shift correctly also.
I know steeda and other carry the speedo gears.

im not really worried about the gas because i have a taurus for my daily driver. the chip i want says it will change the computer to increase power but im not sure how much power and it will change shift points i would like to know how good SCT chips are.

If you dont have many mods, trust me and wait it out. YOu will gain more power if the tune is optimized for all the mods on the car. If you really wanna make some power Get some used heads intake and a cam and then tune it. I wouldnt tune it now untill after its modded because paying for new tunes 2-3 times is retarted.
