They have to be put in facing up. 12s CAN fit in our trunks.
If you're putting 12s in, then invest a little more money and go with a component system, buy the extra amp, have the tweeters up front..
Right now I'm on 3 JL 10s, full Alpine R component system, 2 performance technique amps..I can crank it up and the bass doesn't overpower the highs and mids.
Before I had the components, it didn't matter what speakers you put in..they just sound like shit.
