Hey guys-
Ok so I've been researching the tuner thing....your opinions, and to educate me a bit more:
I also see the "chips" that come with 1 tune on them...my question is....having a V6 Auto tranny...
- What kind of HP gain could I expect on my stock car with the chip?
- Are chips considered bad, or a poor alternative to buying a tuner?
- If I bought one of the tuners I see on AM.com ($350 range)...what kind of HP gain could I expect with that?
- If I'm understanding the purposes of chips/tuners correctly..being that they allow you to adjust gears/shifts, remove factory limiter, etc (hopefully I have that right)...what other things can a tuner/chip do for me?
Sorry for all the questions, I've done the research, but didnt' see a resource that really outlined all this for me.....
