I was next to a .44 DE at the shooting range a while ago. Man that gun was shaking the walls and I was blasting off a .45. I had ear plugs and the head set and it was still scaring me. those are redicously loud.

Id like to have one but, a $1000 pistol thats high maintenance is a bit of a stretch for a toy.

i highly doubt that was a .44 DE...judging by the recoil i'd say its the .357 version...however a true redneck like myself only considers it a DE if its in the almighty .50 cal

and to clarify .45 is larger caliber based on projectile DIAMETER only. the .44 has a longer casing wich means more powder. more powder means higher velocity and more fun in a real world situation a .45 would knock you off your feet at 75 feet if you were wearing body armor, but probably wouldn't penetrate. the .44 on the other hand would rip through your engine block without thinking twice
