AutoX in the Rain, 3 In-car-videos
Had and AutoX event this past weekend. It was in the rain but alot of fun. The rain helped even the field a little for me becuase the guys that had race rubber on were at little advantage. I had just got my new Sumitomo HTR Z III's on and was sticking "OK".
Run 1: First time using this camera mount and didn't know you couldn't see over the hood with it.

Run 2: A little better for seeing the cones. Forgot to turn the traction control off the first run, turned it off right before this run, too much power durring the turn-in, fun ensued. I just tired to keep from hitting the timing lights.

Run 3: Best run of the day for me. Had to push the camera mount up and forgot to re-position the camera but you can see the track alot better. I don't think I hit a cone on any of these three runs which is poor because if your not hitting cones, your not driving hard enough.

Thanks for watching.

Thanks, the videos are not so great since they were taken with my digital camera and the camera mount was not in the best position.
Here is a video from the outside of an earlier run that day taken by a real photographer.

5spd. All the runs were in 2nd gear all the way through, except for the start.

Stock exhaust, but for some reason the previous owner removed the mufflers. It's just like a stock exhaust but no mufflers. I think it sounds ok, better/different than true stock, but I plan on getting a catback sometime. It's pretty lound w/o the mufflers, I would guess louder than an SLP LM2 system, so since some people complain about how loud the SLP's are and I don't mind having no mufflers at all, that is what I plan on getting. With future X-pipe and longtube additions.

No supercharger, but it's kinda funny that you noticed that. I always have people ask my if it has a supercharger. When I had a v6 people asked if it had a v8, now that I have a v8 people ask if I have a supercharger. The car makes a high pitched whine that I haven't been able to identify or inspect. It's present in 1st-3rd gear, increases as rpm's increase, and is absent in 4th and 5th gears. Probably not good but I suspect the TOB, clutch fork, and hope it's not the trans itself. This summer I am taking it to my mechanic to have him try and fix it. I have had no problems with the trans or drivetrain other than that noise. It hasn't gotten any worse over the months but am sure it's not something that will get better on its own.
