flows always sounded the best on the 5.0 motor you get that deep throaty sounded out of em. The question becomes when you put them on the modular motors. They just dont have the same sound....it doesnt fit those motors as nicely as the magnapacks or the borlas in my opinion

no one here says flows suck. I simply said another style sounds better on the modulars. There is something about that 4V motor that just intensifies with stingers or magnapacks. You say crap? O.K
you get your opinion but I'm with jtgiants on this one. Everyone gets their own opinion.
Think about it. borla actually engineers a "specific" exhaust tone throught their mufflers for a specific car. Doing a lot of research on performance, sound, quality. Each catback is different for each car model as magnaflow does the same.
What does flowmaster do? They give you the american thunder series for dodge, chevy, ford......just a universal muffler for a universal sound that will fit on any application from a truck to a tank...now do you want your mustang to sound like a truck? I dont personally I prefer something different and frankly in my opinion meaner sounding like magnapacks. Its a mustang after all why not let it breath and sound like one?
and I'll back it up:
