engine clean

any of you guys clean your engine? if so whats the best way to do it? thanks

I use degreaser deluted alot. then let it sit on a wet engine then rinse off, start motor let it warm up and dry everything off then use some kind of detailer like tire wet,black magic etc.. to shine parts.
