you only need the dual exhuast adatptor to run a GT catback if your running one of these v6 dual exhaust kits all it does is split the singel to a y then out the back, for this you dont need the v6 dual exhuast adaptor.

the Steeda V6 exhaust is as they say "all-inclusive". Everything you need for it is there. It's a bolt on thing, basically.

the adapter kit is only there if you want to take the Catback off a Gt, say for instance the GT stock exhaust, or a Flowmaster Set up for a GT....

Now since I dont know much about cars, and I'd like to. Im going to keep asking questions. How does the, for example, Steeda Stainless Steel Cat-Back Dual Exhaust kit for V6 Mustangs give you 20 more hp? And is this something that I could install because it is basically putting pipes together and then bolting them on? Or is there more to it, such as welding or anything else that I can't think of. thanks again

Some people will tell you, YOU HAVE TO WELD, others will say it doesn't matter and bolting on is easier. The converstion pipe while has to be welded though, thats how it works, as far as the cat back, it makes the exahust flow out better, however 20 hp is ALOT, i'd doubt a simple cat-back for the v6 would give you that much hp. I've heard 10-15hp increases are average. Spike_Africa would know the most....

your not going to get 20hp from a catback not even a Gt or a cobra is going ot get that. Those gains they list are noraly from cars that are pushing alot of power and the last thing they do is a catback. thats hot they get crazy numbers like that. Now if you were pushing something like 13psi of boost i might see a 15rwhp gain being possible.

N/a though you will only gaina few liek 5hp but its everything added together that makes you fast. plus the sound is worth it alone.

Steeda Stainless Steel Cat-Back Dual Exhaust kit for V6 Mustangs

Convert your 1999-2002 V-6 exhaust system to V-8 style dual exhaust outlets. Steeda's V-6 Cat-Back Stainless Steel Dual Exhaust kit gives your Mustang a throaty sound and up to 20 more horsepower! Just add this cat back system and everyone will think you're packin' a V-8. This exhaust is backed by Borla's Million Mile Warranty.

This wont fit on my 1995?
