A- way to bring back a old ass post.
B- the stock pistons can take nitrous just fine, countless v6s are sprayed not to mention GT's with the same style piston. c-why would you run such a low compression piston with nitrous? nitrous loves compression doesn't affect it at all. |
Had a friend with a 2000 v6, sprayed 75 shot wet kit on it all the time. Never had any motor trouble out of it. Nitrous set ups can be safe and reliable. Its a lack of knowledge setting up the nitrous that leads to blown engines. Also, know what your motor is capable of. Don't put a 150 shot jet on a stock v6...Use a little common sense and you'll be fine with nitrous. My vote would be for gears and a tune. Maybe exhaust if you have anything left...

What would be a good shot of nitrous on a completley stock auto '96 v6 with....about 130,000 miles on it? That is......if that would be good at all. it runs fine. its a 1 point something seconds slower than it used to be, but that 1 second is killing me. And Im asking because I figure that if I do want to mod my sixer, then I might as well by the expensive things first and then put em on later. or sell them if I change my mind.
