Unhappy Need some help

Hey guys new to this forum and new to the whole mustang thing. real fast i bought a 2001 black v6 mustang and im loving every minute of it. so the other day i went to go fill up my gas tank and someone pulled up behind me and said hey your leaking. so i look under my car and im leaking gas. Upon further inspection my the gas is leaking out of the hose that im guess leads to the gas tank. It comes where you put the gas nozzle in to the right side of the tank. So what makes it even better is that is a plain black hose thats held on by 2 zip ties. what it seems like to me is the person i bought it from broke it(he took HORRIBLE CARE of this car) and just replaced it with whatever he had.

so my question to you guys is what do i do is there a way to fix it at home? do i take it to ford. is that the way it is supposed to be?

^ also inspect the hose to make sure it is not leaking anywhere else. You could ask your local parts store what they suggest to fix it... they may have the new part.

Talk to a local ford dealer or go get another one from a parts store or see what another shop can get one for.

You need to call and get it from the dealership, don't take any chances on getting an inferior product online. Also, you'll need to get the rubber gromet that goes just inside the tank that the filler neck actually passes through. The gromet cracking or drying out is fairly common, but more so in the pre-01 models, I'm going to have to replace mine this spring in my '01 GT.
