I have had my car for a wile now and its having shifting problems(automatic) and wanted to know what the problem. Whenever im going from 30-55 or so it just revs super high and then engine sounds like its going to blow, so i let off the gas, and when it does this im not even trying to get there fast i just slowly accel. And when im messin around and doin like 90-95 it redlines until i letoff the gas and then it shifts. The car has 153,000 miles on it but has been treated like royalty.Anyone know the problem?

 

also when i step on it it spins into second, which i think is normal(my cousins does the same) but i was driving today and it was shifting into third and it made a real high pitch squeeling noise.Any ideas?

Well the part about how it shifts until after you let off the gas, is just because our motors are tuned to do that. If you wanna hotrod it, wait until you get to the point of where you want it to shift, let off the gas for a sec then give it again. The squeeling noise idk though.
