COBRA parts on a V6
I plan on swapping a V8 in but that doesnt change how everything else will fit. I was wonderin whats the difference between the COBRA & V6 that some exhaust parts only fit the cobra(besides my car not having the same engine), and the same for some brakes and suspensions. If anyone knows id like to know what changes need to be made to get those parts to fit my V6?

On what year car? It's hard to answer your questions without more info.
What V8 are you thinking of installing? 2v? 3v? 4v? 4.6? 5.0? 5.4? Keep in mind that you'll need to replace most of the drivetrain & the suspension with the new motor.
The reason some exhaust parts only fit the Cobra is it has IRS (independant rear suspension) whereas the V6, GT, and Mach 1 all have a solid rear axle.
You can upgrade the brakes on your car to the Cobra kit. Make sure they will fit with your wheel size.

Don't expect your 7.5" rear end to hold up very long either if your planning on going drag racing. If you don't plan on beating on it and think you can get by, remember it's just an open differential and every time you take off in the rain, that one tire is gonna spin and you won't go anywhere fast.

ahem, excuse me for not knowing exactly what the 7.5 stands for but this is the first time ima be modifying a car, never mind it being my first car....
but whats the 7.5 stand for? and would i need anything stronger if i just wanted to hit a track up and didnt plan on puttin any drag radials on it?
what would be best for street/track handling? would changing to IRS help if possible?
sorry but1 more, would bassani aft cat back or borla stinger s-type cat back exhausts fit slp longtubes nd slpshorty x-pipes?

The 7.5 is the size of the rear axle. You will have to change to the 8.8 (the one that came in the v-8 mustangs) or the 7.5 will die a horrible death. It would also be easier to stay with the live axle set up (gt instead of cobra) because it is a direct bolt on and can be had for relatively cheap. as for exhausts, I (note I said me) would stay with the stock v-6 up to the cats and get an aftermarket cat back for the 6. Many of these are direct bolt-ons as well (read easier to install), unless you plan on doing this swap real soon. Lastly, most upgrades for the gt are for the v-6 as well (suspension wise), so you can install these and not have to worry overly much when you add the extra weight to the car.
