Default Rough Idle Okay or bad

My Stang is idling rough in Drive. In drive it idles at or near 780 rpm and in neutral not so rough at 1000 rpm. This drive idle doesn't sound as good as the idleing in neutral. Is it a sign?? Is it bad. Car runs perfect other than that.

When I had my old sixer if did the same thing. It never turned out to be bad for me. Do you have a tuner? If so you might try raising the idle by 100.

For some reason my tuner will change the idle for nuetrel w/ no problem but when i re-write it like you said for the idle in drive... it won't write it.

Well you said that it idles fine in drive, so why would you want it to change there? What tuner do you have, btw?

EDIT: Oops, read that backwards.

I read that wrong, I thought the idle in drive was okay and neutral was getting shaky. Hmm...I don't think any tuners adjust drive idle. I may be wrong though.

Um, no I don't. I love my car. Yours is nice too, but only one here is the victor and we both know which one that is...

You may want to try cleaning the MAF sensor, and IAC first.
