Hey I have been looking around for motive gears and everywhere says that they have been on backorder for 2 months. Does anyone know anything about Yukon gears and how they compare to motive gears?

 

get ford racing and performance parts gears... they are the best. a mustang specialty shop by me only deals with FRPP.

if you are set on motive, go to americanmuscle.com neither are on backorder there.

 

Never buy Yukon gears for a Mustang. Only use Yukon if you have to and if it's for a truck or something where the cab is not close to the differential.

 

Okay, I will stick with Ford Racing or Motive. Does Ford Racing make a 3.73 set for the 7.5" rear?

 

Without checking a few places, I couln't say for sure where you could easily get a set from, but I know they make'em. The Ford Ranger has a 7.5" rear and 3:73 gears, and I had some in my v6. As long as you ger FR or Motive your good.

 

Yeah I have been trying to find motive gears for the 7.5" but they are on back order everywhere. So I'll look around for the Ford Racing gears.

Not all of them. My Ranger came from the factory with a 8.8 rear and 4.10 gears. In fact almost all the newer Rangers come with 8.8 rear ends. Different gears are a no-cost option if you're buying new from the dealer.
