Unfortunatly a lot of the claims made by the advertizing companys for various products over exaggerate the HP gains by most boltons.
Those rims you put out are pretty nice, im sure they would look great. Keep in mind and 18inch wheel is heavier than a 17inch wheel and they will slow your car a little.
Shaker hoods are damn near worthless they just look cool as hell.
For suspension you want to think about how low you want your car, as well as how do you want it to perform. Do you want it for drag? road racing? or drivability and comfort? all those things come into play so think about what yer aiming for. Normally a good 1-1.5inch drop is relativle easy and inexpencive to do by go any lower yer gonna need to get some adjustable caster/camber plates and such.
I assume you have a V6. Dual exhaust is always a hit, but i dont know much about the gains on a V6.
your absolute best bang for the buck would be to put in 4:10 gearing and get a Handheld tuner for the performance tune and to correct the speedometer which will be off.. Gears add no power, but they throw you in a higher RPM at a lower speed so yer in your powerband faster and that will make a good improvement.
As for power adders and such, Superchargers Turbos are hands down the best route in my view, but very expencive, but at the same time it is the only way yer gonna get an extra 100-150hp to the wheels. Pricey, think $3000 minimum.
Nitrous. well , ill let others talk the virtues of nitrous, personally i think the possibility to destroying your engine is just too high, so i wouldnt bother unless you have an extra 3.9l V6 laying around you can throw in in case the old engine bites the dust.
Try to look through the forums a little bit, think about what you want out of your mustang. Remember, REAL HP COST REAL DOLLARS, forget the TURBINATORS, electric supercharges and all that other junk that wont work, remember most boltons will only give you 5-10hp if yer lucky.
this can be a very expencive hobby if you just waltz in and dont do your research, so my reccommendationj is to think about what you want out of your car.
A show car?
a weekend warrior?
a ***** out dragster?
autocross?
take yer time, and welcome to the boards.

^^ that about sums it up. Only thing I'll add is on a V6 your exhaust is never going to be loud and sound good at the same time. Louder than stock.. yes, "knocking pics off the wall" no haha. There are two threads that go in more detail about gears and exhaust. If you still have questions after skimming those feel free to post a question.

wow, jack pretty much summed it up.
if i were you, i'd do a lot of research with all your mods. the stuff you asked about (cold air intake, under drive pulleys, exhaust) don't really make a whole lot of power on a sixer. i know, because i had them on mine, and gained like, 10 hp combined from all of them. the best bang for your buck is a tune and gears.
if you are set on doing exhaust though, check this site out: http://www.mustangexhaust.com/ they have clips from different mustangs. personally, i went with flowmasters and a dual exhaust conversion kit on my sixer.
good luck, and welcome.

Start with full-length subframe connectors. These will make your car handle a lot better than just putting stiffer drop springs on. It's the first mod that should be made to any unibody car.
For more information on this mod, check out the install article I wrote for americanmuscle.com.

I have searched the forums but there is so much information that it is overwhelming. Being new to the forum, I wanted to throw the questions out there because there maybe someone who may have had experiences to share.

Didn't think there was any harm in that
