Question What should i do first?

Well first things first im brand new to these forums and to the mustang world, i just got a '95 3.8L stang and her name is Misty, seems to be in pretty good state since i bought it from a conservative female driver, the engine is rebuilt, and i just put in a new radiator. But what im asking really is what should i do first as far as performance (sp?) additions/mods. I've been reading these forums and trying to get a feel for what i want to do, but i want your opinions. Thanks in advance for the help.

What do you plan on doing with it? DD, track? It's a sixer, so probably a DD. How much money do you have to play with? Is anything done to it already? And last but definitely not least by any means, GIVE US SOME PICS!

4.10 gears, tlok, SCT hand held tuner. You need all of that at the same time if you were to go that route because the gears will throw off the speedo. Otherwise some new rims/tires will make it stand out for the others. CAI don't do anything for a sixer only real way to up the HP is a power adder. Suspension if you want to get rid of the 4x4 stance. Either a prokit or H&R's. If you go with a 2" drop (H&R SS) you will want new shocks, struts, CC plates. If you go with a 1.5" or less drop you will probably be fine just replacing the shocks and struts

True. I almost forgot about him, we've already had a couple others that are slowly taking his place. I'm also still surprised he hasn't come back as V8MP yet. It's bound to happen sometime.

4.10 Gears are better for automatics, manuals are better with the 3.73s

The split-port swap is basically swapping your engine for one in a 99+ V6 mustang, they have a significant higher amount of power than a single port.

A buddy of mine took his '96 sixer, did a 4.6l 4v swap with the tremec 3650 trans, and Tlok with 125 shot and slicks and gears. <--Should do that. Maybe hold out on the slicks because it's a DD.

UpDate: ok i just ordered some Underdrive pullys from Steeda what next w/ next paycheck? Also any suggestions on what type of wires and plugs to get? and what about a possible seafoam treatment since the car did sit for a while like maybe a year without a start.

Underdrive pulleys?! Why did you get those for your first mod? I doubt you'll notice anything, they really don't make much difference unless you're driving on a lot of highways. I really would have gone the gear or tuner route, first. Even a CAI would've been a better first mod.

Steeda is okay, I have a JLT R/CAI. It's the best. As for the wires and plugs for what?

Hmm...At first for some reason I thought it was a fuel injector leak, but that's serious and you'd know. <--would've been a fire about now. Could be a header leak, I've heard people smelling that with a header leak. But I'd definitely get some more opinions from more experienced members before taking anything apart.

oh, wires are for a tune up since my plugs show alot of rust on them and the wires are all stock reading "motorcraft" on them since its a '95, so i defiantly need a tune, and sometimes when the car runs for a while i hear a rattle coming from the front driverside underbody near what i believe are the cats, but should i ignore this since im probly gonna gut/cut em out anyway? No emissions tests here. . . btw, JLT: short for what?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/94-98-...ir-intake.html

people with v6's have been using these and getting the same results as steeda or BBK. with the look at less than half the cost.
