you are supped to hear that. i think. i know i heard a different sound after i installed my cai, but whistling? like blower, thats shouldnt happen. my sound is just a differnt sound of air rushing in through the intake

My 96 v6 has a pretty noticably whistling noise when I accelerate, but my car is completely stock...Im not sure if its cause I cleaned out my intake, which has a shitload of sand in it from the dirtroad I used to live on, but I didnt think the stock intakes were strong enough to be noticeable like that.
Ive actually fooled some of my friends into thinking that I installed a supercharger..haha.

Haha, word.
I was just curious though, could the belt be making the whistling noise?
Cause my ac compressor went to **** not too long ago and I had to have it replaced immediately, only I couldnt afford it, so I took it to a guy I knows shop and he threw on a chrysler ac compressor after some ghetto, emphasis on ghetto, rigging, and it wasnt making that noise before, but around the same time I had that replaced was the same time I cleaned out my air box.
Good thing though I didnt have pay for the rigged compressor, or the labor, haha.
