Increased acceleration is what will happen.

You'll feel more kick in the car.

With the gears/posi a master installation kit should be purchased as well

And a handheld tuner, Diablo, or SCT, to recalibrate your speed, and maybe give you a bonus 5 horses.

A limited slip is a posi/tlock. Limited slip just means it unlocks/becomes free spinning when you go through a corner so the outer wheel can spin faster then the inner wheel on a corner. When in a straight line it stays locked to provide the maximum amount of traction.

The tuners/programmers/chips will not correct a pre-1999 speedo because the computer does not manage the speedo untill the +1999 models. This is the one thing preventing me from getting new gears.

There are speedo gears that you can use however I believe to correct the cable I think you need a 23 tooth for 4.10 gears. I'm not sure on 3.73

I heard that the Ford Racing gears are a better install than other brands.

k i get to ask a newb question now too(no offence 98 stang im most likely a bigger newb) gear ratio is the ratio of how many times the wheel spins for every 1 time the driveshaft spins right?? so for instance putting in 3.73:1 gears would mean every time the driveshaft spins 1 time the wheel spins 3.73 times or is it the other way around
