tcs questions
does driving with traction control on or off made any difference, ive heard that it adjusts the shift points and gives the car better accelleration but i dont know if thats true
|
it just stops the car from spinning the wheels so you dont spin out. It its an '05+ car, I have no idea.
|
Doesn't have any affect on shift points. Just cuts off the fuel when the rear tires have no traction and spin faster than the front wheels. Helps to prevent spining out like zig said.
|
It doesn't have anything to do with fuel, it applies brake to a wheel that is losing traction to help keep it from spinning

From my '07 manual . . . "any excess wheel spin is controlled by automatically applying and releasing the rear brakes in conjunction with engine torque reductions. . . "

After further review., It seems that LOCO has a new edge mustang. My info on TCS may not apply, oops. .:D

The TCS system retards ignition timing, thus reducing power and helping reduce wheel spin. It also activates the rear ABS.
