what is lean and rich?
i dont know if this will fall in the forums. But what is lean and rich?i have a DiabloSport tuner it say rich and lean ratio option can someone explain this to me thx.

simply put: rich is too much fuel , lean is too much air, or not enough fuel.
lean makes engines explode.

It lets you to a small point change the air/fuel ratio on the tune. Richer means more fuel, leaner means less fuel. For best n/a power 13.5:1 air to fuel ratio is best. For power adders 12.5:1 is best. Most stay a bit lower then those to keep it safer.

ya it is a throw up on blown cars. my tuners have stayed at 11.5 A/F.
Safe is best though not really which one makes the most. for instance you can make 30rwhp more sometimes leaning it out to far but the motor wont last and then it is worthless.
So trusting your tuner is very important especially when you get into high dollar stuff.
If yall click my website link, on the front home page is my dyno graph. that's how your A/F should look. straight down the line like that at 11.5 or which ever your tuner chooses.
