Wait, oh im sorry, you mean to say you have seen every Mustang V6 dyno sheet out there? lol...
Exactly how positive are you that there is not anyone out there with a Mustang V6 with over 630 whp that just doesent post online? lol take yer own advice about posting while yer at it. This guy is wondering if it is possible to build this. While it may not be practical and extremmly expencive with a lot of custom engineering. That really is no more foolish than making assumptions that nobody has a faster 3.8l than Matt N from Delk. lol

It is obvious in your post you are oblivious to proper use of the English language. If you're gonna be a jerk to someone, at least try to get the grammar right.

guys first of all im no 16 year old kid. and i am planning on putting a fully race prepped 4.3L block in my car and not the stock pos block if some members could read correctly. i am only asking if it is possible. i know it will probably add up to around $40000 total but that is for any race car around. im only trying to see if the setup i am looking at is possible.
Why do you want to build a 1000hp v6? It's not always about power, it's about putting that power to the ground and being able to use it. |

its all about torque!
the only reason the buggatti veyron has 1001 hp is b/c thats how much hp it takes to keep that car going 253 so unless your going 253 mph you dont need 1000 hp |

ok well i didnt mean 1000hp at the wheels. more around 850 rwhp. but anyways i was doing a search and found a video on youtube of a 1073hp 4.3L v6 built by Nelson Racing Engines so i think you non believers should check it out. My whole point is to make the ultimate sleeper. the people on this forum dont believe 1000hp is possible so what does that mean for those in the v8 crowd? Besides that, i think it would be a first in the v6 mustang community to have this much power. any thoughts and comments are appreciated.

Awwwww, are you upset because I gave you shit for needlessly blasting this guy, not even getting the words right in your blasting? Did trying to lob a half-assed personal attack at me make you feel better?

Are you talking about the Nelson with a VR4 (6 Cylinder AWD twin Turbo)? He spent god aweful amounts of money on that thing but it is one fast sob. It holds a few records if 3SX hasn't beat them yet. There are a bunch of 3000GTs and Stealths with over 1000hp (and their only 3 liters..well stock anyway). So I'm sure it's possible but why bother? Just a lot of time and money for something you really don't need to do? Just my opinion anyway.

1000hp is undrivable. That's the problem. As soon as you build a motor to make that much power you need a drag car or a Bugatti or a big rig to put it in. It's kinda like a 57 piece screwdriver... yeah it'll work but what the hell good is it?
|
if it were me i would just drop a v8 from roush in it do a little cutting and put twin turbos on it and a few other performance parts and call it good of course you will get alot of straight line power along with the ability to still drive on the streets depending on how much you have to cut which depends on the size of the turbos you put on it... just saying
|
Never mind the naysayers...they really don't get it. What you are wanting to do has already been done. It is entirely possible. It takes money, time, engineering, patience, and above all....balls when it's time to drive it! I provided a link to just one such person who did exactly what you are wanting to do....
Just go to that youtube video. What an insane ride!!! Keep the faith! |
One more thing...if you're building a Fox body Mustang, they're much lighter than the new Mustangs. That being said, same engine/drivetrain combo and you're looking at pure insanity!!!
|
Mine is 792hp and I have tons of performance parts and $$ put into it. Best of luck getting your v6 up to 1000+ lol

So my goal is to make 1000 hp out of my 2002 v6 mustang. Besides suspension and transmission stuff needed, i was looking to get a completely built 4.3 long rod stroker from supersixmotorsports.com and then putting on a twin turbo with around 20psi of boost. is this possible and if so what is the best kind of twin turbo to get?
