i hav a 2001 mustang v6, and my ABS light on the dash is coming on. can anybody tell me what that usually means? It will come on and stay on for a while and other times it will come on and then go off.

check your sensors for the ABS to see if they are damaged or try resetting the computer to try and clear it.

Sounds to me like your fluid may be low. Sometimes if it's low it will kick your light on, especially under braking when the fluid moves around in the reservoir.

You dont even need to pull the cap you can see the fill level and where it should be on the side of the reservoir. Also autozone and advanced autoparts will scan codes for free go there. But if it comes on then goes away sometimes this is a classic sign of low fluide if i was guess to over the internet.

ok well i didnt really need break fluid, it was some what full but i filled it up to the max and it still is comin on. but i jus realized today when my ABS light comes on my traction control light comes on (my traction control is off). they come on at the same time. so im starting to wonder if it has somethin to do with my traction control.

On some cars, the traction control system works with your ABS. When you acclelerate too hard and the wheels spin, the ABS with activate to stop the spin..
