Default Head Light and tail light covers

http://www.americanmuscle.com/9904-s...ht-covers.html

these seem a little dark to have on at night....

are these only street legal during the day or will the light pass through effieciently enough to provide the proper amount of light so that i wont get pulled over.

i doubt they are legal anywhere. i had a set on here in FL and i got pulled over all the time w/them..the cops were always cool with me taking them off right there tho, and most of them liked the way the car looked....but nah, not legal here.

Technically... they're illegal in all states as they fail federal fmvss specs in illumination. Enforcement is another deal. In most cases unless you have them on at night you should be fine. The only bad thing is if it should start to rain duing the day and you need to turn on your lights ( some state require lights whenever your wipers are on) you might get caught there.

and if ya have'em on when ur lights are on, i've heard of them dis-coloring the headlights, and they kinda melted in a part of my tail light. so if ya get them try not to use them when ur lights are on, they hold the heat in too much. i think it's funny that in jersey it's illegal to talk on the cell phone while driving, but they won't mess w/ya for having the blackouts.

I've got some on my headlights. They look amazing accenting the white paint, but at night with them on your lights are pretty much useless. Cops dont care at all, one pulled me over and told me they were illegal, i took them off and left, no harm. And i wouldnt put any on your tailights, people would be riding your *** all day long and some would probably hit you cause you cant see anything put your third brake light with the covers on
