Upgrades
Ok heres the deal. Its a '97 with only 58,000 miles. I've had it for almost ten years and I'm bored.I wont sell it cause there's nothing wrong with it and I wont get alot of money for it. AnyThe idea of making upgrades has excited me but I dont know where to start. I encourage all ideas that you guys can give me.

yo u guyz came after him, he didn't know where to start off from...thats why he was asking...it was a general question...

Thats why i asked what he wanted to do with the car. But he got angry at my post which it wasnt ment to be like in any way. Im just trying to help, but i dont know what he wants to do with the car.

I think he just wanted the general info though on starting upgrades...
I would read the sticky's in this forum that regard exhaust and starting upgrades...

basically man..do you want a track car that will blow a GT away or do you want something on the street that looks cool...
Theres so many things to do that what you're asking doesn't help us much. We can give you advice for just a daily driver or we can give you advice on a car that needs to be towed to the track to race unless you want to break traction every time you push the pedal in a little ;x

I'll give you the same advice that no one follows: Build your car to handle the power, then build the power. Wheels/tires, big brakes, a traction lok for that open 7.5, and why not some gears while your in there. Suspension upgrades, then make it fast. It always helps to have a final plan for what you want in the end, be it a power goal, 1/4 mile time, or something as simple as "perform like a GT". There's is almost unlimited options for everything I've mentioned, varying in levels of extremity, so it all depends on how extreme you want your car.
As far as the visual side, wheels and tires help there, and the stock headlights on our 97 are hideous, so I would recommend upgrading those as well. Rear bumper letter inserts, spoilers/body kits/components, fog lights if you don't already have them, chin spoiler if you like the look, shorty antenna, billet interior pieces if that's your thing.
You said you were bored, so the easiest thing to do would be to figure out what would excite you, then do it. But watch out for the mod bug, once you start it's hard to stop. "I wanna go a little faster" can turn into ported heads and intake with forged internals, a supercharger, and nitrous. And done right you still won't need a trailer
