Default Clutch/Flywheel Options

Are there any other quality clutches for V6s other than SPEC and Ram? Will the King Cobra clutch kits work with a 95 V6 T5? Flywheel suggestions, aluminum/steel? Mine has already been resurfaced one time so I figure I might as well replace it this time. And for curiousity purposes, how are flywheels resurfaced? I wasn't sure if it was the same as with a brake rotor lathe or if there was some special machine just for flywheels.

I ask about clutches because those two seem to be the only ones I see. When the motor was rebuilt, about 70000 miles ago, the shop installed a Ram and I hated it from day 1. No chatter or anything, but I hated that the pedal actually felt looser than with the stock clutch and it always seemed like I had to burn it quite a bit to get movement, almost like slipping but not really, if that makes sense. The bottom line is, I don't like it. The release bearing starting squealing and since I had an adjuster, I just tightened everything up to stop the squealing and of course I think that has finally taken its toll. Keep in mind that this tightening did not cause the conditions I described before, it was like that from day 1 of the new engine without the clutch adjuster.

I am just looking for options, so that I can be satisfied with this thing for another 70-80000 miles. This is the reliable car, which keeping it running, allows me to play around with the GT some, so I would like for it to be confortable to drive, but I am not so much concerned with a hard pedal. Like I said, I thought that the Ram was too soft.

I figure I don't need some stage 3 clutch or anything, no plans for FI or nitrous. The engine is bored .030" but other than that, no mods except for a K&N filter.

Thanks for your help.

I have a mcloud as well, i love it but they are a little bit more expensive then spec etc.

However, if your a stockish v6 i'd say go for a ebay clutch, you'll see them say "20% stronger then OEM" or something dumb like that. I bought one myself a while back and i used it for over a year and i was making >300whp. I recently replaced it with a mcloud and it had a LOT of life left in it.
