Default Hello and a question

Hey, how is every one doing.
I just got a stang and I'm really pumped up about doing some mods. Right now I dont know what I want to do first, but im thinking about getting a cai.
Then I want to get a tunner followed by installing 410 gears. After that I will get rid of my y and put in an H with duals. My question is which mod would be best first, and what brand and type of each I should get? Thanks for all the help.
In Christs love

first off, what year is your car, and is it a manual or automatic?

how would i go about getting a tlock, and since the gt has allready got one should i just try to find one in a junkyard and take off the rear end? Is that something i can do myself, and how much would either of those cost? Thanks

there is nothing Sucky about that. You have a lot of potential.

first off go with 4.10's rather then 3.73's. And i recomend getting an 8.8" rearend from a GT like you said and then put the gears into it.

thanks for everything, and i have yet another question. How much will i lose in the top end with 4.10 gears rather than 3.73, and do i just need the transfer case(im not sure if that is what it is called if that isn't it than the 8.8) for the gt or the whole axel?

You dont have the horsepower to hit your RPM based speed limit with 4.10's or 3.73's. So enless you get a lot more power you wont loose any top end no matter what you do.

it is less restrictive. Immagine breathing through one of those coffie swizzle straws. Then give yourself that big gulp straw thats like bigger then your thumb. Which one is easyer to breath out of?

The k&n is the big gulp straw, and your stock filter is the swissle straw.

short answer: little bit better gas milage, little bit more horsepower, the K&N just filters less.

sorry to keep flooding everyone with questions, but teal beast i was wondering if it would be better to get a cai or just do what jack the ripper said. I have allready taken off the rubber thing wich i think is what he called a silecer box, but if not pleas tell what one is. I am eager to learn, and all knowldege is welcome to my eyes.

The little rubber piece that looks like a funnel is the Air Silencer, yup.

And what jack said to do is a good idea, butthe filter is MUCH more vulnerable to water right there.
