Alright, I'm going to do something to my 3.8, I just can't decide what. I've considered putting a 302 in it, but that'll cost upwards of 7k easy. Supercharging is far cheaper at 3600 for a new kit, and get me to nearly the same place. Turbocharging is another option, but I haven't been able to find anyone who makes turbo kits, let alone turbo headers, for a mustang 3.8. The only thing holding me back from just buying a GT is insurance, I'm 18 and would probably get raped although my record is clean. Can I get some advice, because I just can't seem to make up my mind.

Trade the sixer in and with the money you have saved, buy a GT..or a cobra...

oh, and fyi...there was a thread made earlier about insurance..youre paying MORE for the 6 banger than you would for a gt or cobra :nike:

IMO, unless you WANT to keep the V6 just to be different, get a gt or cobra....its less hassle by far, and less money in the long run.

Yeah, don't really have that much of an attachment to the car, I do love it as it's my first, but I'd rather have something sexier, like a cobra. Was just wondering if I would get raped on insurance. Thanks guys.

just do a search "insurance" for threads related to that. One of mine just died recently and everyone agreed that tried it out. cobras/gt's are just as much, if not, cheaper than v6 insurance. thats just the way it is.
